COO and Founder Angela Smith has over 27 years of experience in construction, government procurement, and working with nonprofits such as Constructing Hope or the Metropolitan Association of Women in Construction (MAWE) that serve minority communities. Angela was recognized in a 2020 member spotlight for the National Association of Minority Contractors (NAMC). She has been named a DJC’s Building Diversity Awards honoree in 2021 and in 2023 as a Legacy Builder BIPOC Construction Trailblazer in Oregon. Angela will grow Concrete Rose II (CR II) to provide services for women entering the construction industry. CR II will address the specific needs of these individuals, providing comprehensive mentorship support in areas such as mental health, financial management, rehabilitation, education, employment, and community reintegration.
